Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television presenter in the US as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its landscape. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. While growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking from a young age. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn or do enough. After graduating from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture which has had an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to enhance living conditions for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about childhood diabetes. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours throughout the United States to mentor others in her task. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion in life with others.
